Another addition has been made to the subspecies list, Flower Dragons!   This is an offshoot of the Tree Dragon group feeling that trees & flowers should be separate subspecies!  It is easier to keep them organized that way. There are only 3 flower pairs as of yet, but I do hope to add more as Im able to expand the lair's capacity!

Just about all the permanent breeders in the lair are now fully gened! I had some multiple Sprites and decided to sell a few of the spares.  This allowed me to do some serious gene projects.   My Progen and her Mate, a couple of G1 pairs and a few odds that needed some upgraded genes.  

I am beginning a new project now with the help of my "Sister" Barbie.   She is in Arcane, so I gave her a couple of Sakura Tree dragons and a couple of Rosebush dragons to breed Mire Trainers.   Arcane dragons are the best Mire trainers and I wanted to create Arcane dragons that still had a Nature theme.  She gets to sell, exalt, give away most of the hatchies.  I will grab one every so often and level it up with all the stats & stones.   Then sell them!!!  Might be convinced to donate one to raffles every so often too... ;)

Future Plans:

Keep expanding whenever possible, probably only during dom... its too expensive now without the discount. 
Level Mire Trainers and SELL them!
​]]><![CDATA[Has it been so long?  Really?]]>Wed, 10 Feb 2016 21:12:07 GMThttps://lynnbugssanctuary.weebly.com/clan-journal/has-it-been-so-long-reallySo I guess it has been a long time since an update.   The lair has undergone some significant changes in the last... 18 months?  

For a while the lair was only just maintained, feeding, gathering and a few nests hatched on occasion.  

The lair is once again going strong though and growing by leaps & bounds.  After the last for-profit push, the lair was expanded to 90 spaces.   There will be another Dominance battle in a month or so and I am hoping to raise the funds necessary to bring the lair to The Behemoth and finally earn the Ancient Lair title.  

A good number of dragons that started out in this lair have moved on, either to other lairs or to the service of the Glademother herself.  A new group has joined the lair, Tree Dragons.   There is still a large group of Neon Wings as well.  And there will always be some loyal, permanent exalt breeders!  

Near Future Plans:

Expand 2 more times to become an Ancient Lair!
Bring in more Trees!
Continue to collect genes & breed scrolls for those who need them!

 ]]><![CDATA[Finally an Update!]]>Thu, 24 Jul 2014 18:57:27 GMThttps://lynnbugssanctuary.weebly.com/clan-journal/finally-an-updateSo its been a long time since I updated anything in here.  RL caused a period of time where I was really just maintaining my lair and making little changes when I could.  I've participated quietly in the last few Dominance pushes and I donated a few pretty hatchlings to the Greenskeeper Gathering as promised. 

I recently got a couple of Coatl breeding pairs and held a naming raffle for them.  That went off well and was quite fun.  I think I might do another raffle again soon.  I also managed to do Breed change & Gene Scrolls for my Random Progen Tracker, and his mate Aurora.  They are my Coli Training team and have done such a great job training up exalts.  They are now both Spirals and were given the new genes Ripple & Current.  Ill be saving up to get them Smoke scrolls as soon as they aren't so rare. 

We are now a Venerable Lair!  Its been hard enough to keep my lair fed, so I don't have plans to expand the lair any further for now.  When I can get back to being more active, Ill consider it then.  In the meantime I have some great breeding pairs now.  Including quite a few Extreme Neon Wing Breeders.  I will continue to save up for scrolls as I can and keep my eyes open for possible additions to the lair. 

Ive been keeping all 5 of my nests in full rotation so at this time I am not maintaining a formal Breeding Schedule.  If I want to keep track of things closer as any festival comes up or a specific Dominance push I will set up a new Schedule. 

So, my Breeders pages are a work in progress right now.  I have new pairs and need to create their Composites, especially in the Neon Wings group.  As usual, if you see a pair you like and want to reserve a hatchling.. just message me on my FR account. ]]><![CDATA[Long time no see!]]>Thu, 28 Nov 2013 00:16:51 GMThttps://lynnbugssanctuary.weebly.com/clan-journal/long-time-no-seeIts been a while since Ive posted here.  The Lair now has room for 65 dragons, one more expansion to Venerable!!!!  I hope to expand again soon. My Progen, Delilah finally got her Genes and a Spiral Scroll.  She now has Clown & Seraph Genes.  I also found her a different mate... he isn't First Gen, but he is a Spiral with the same Genes Delilah was given and nice Nature colors Brown & Green tones...  They have had 2 nests so far and all of the offspring were quite handsome!

I realized the direction of my lair was starting to get a little random so I did some Lair Cleaning.  For a while I was just buying any dragon that could qualify as a Neon Wing, but I was frustrated at the less than spectacular offspring they created. 

So... I cleaned out most of the random colored dragons and I have renewed my search for dragons with Green colors and also for Neon Wing stock.  I have found some very handsome dragons... Even a pair of Imps (not Neon Wing but nice and Naturey colors) and an Imp with a future Wildclaw mate that will be a great Neon Wing pair.  Cypress is a Skydancer right now with Tiger & Seraph genes.  He needs a Wildclaw scroll, Underbelly, Shimmer and Iridescent Genes. My main goals right now are to get the Scrolls that Cypress needs and to continue expanding my lair.  

I will be keeping an eye out for more possible Neon Wing additions but I will be extremely selective now... The Lair is big enough to hold a good number of High Value breeders (Non-Plentiful & Gene'd dragons) and a decent collection of Plentiful Exalt breeders, with enough space to hold exalts long enough to let them age to adult and be Leveled a little before exalting them.  Until my Lair is a great deal larger I will be limiting my Dragon Purchases from now on.  ]]><![CDATA[Expansion!!]]>Mon, 23 Sep 2013 05:17:58 GMThttps://lynnbugssanctuary.weebly.com/clan-journal/expansionWe are now a Mighty Lair!  I upgraded to a 50 slot lair just a couple days ago... and I already wish I could do it again! x__x  Oh well, I will just have to keep setting goals and working toward them.  Let me look back at the goal list I made a couple weeks ago...

  • Expand Lair to 50 (DONE)
  • Buy a 4th Nest  (DONE)
  • Get more Non-Starters... hopefully Neon Wing stock (Done, but not DONE)
  • Get more Neon Wing stock... hopefully with Advanced Genes... ie: Shimmer (Done, but not DONE)
  • Get some Breed Change Scrolls for my Progens & their Mates! 
  • Get some Gene Scrolls for my Progens & their Mates!
  • Do something about Delilah... Scatterscroll?  New Mate?  Both?
Ok, some very good progress made.  No I haven't gotten Breed change scrolls for anyone yet... I feel that my purchases during last weeks Dominance were more helpful than buying only a single breed change.  And the gene scrolls I bought for Delilah & Samson, turned out to not be what I wanted.  So I sold the two Freckle genes for gems & pooled my other gems enough to buy Iridescent for Haiiro, the other half of my PC breeding pair.... Midori was born with Iri and given Seraph, so they are a set breeding pair.  Nice to have at least one pair that doesn't need major changes...

I have since acquired a few more Spirals, some with Shimmer wings and all in colors that will make nice Neon Wing babies.  Once they are no longer babies themselves I will post them on the Breeders Pages. For someone who doesn't exactly love the color pink... I seem to have gotten a lot of it in my lair.  I am going to renew my search and quest for dragons with Green colors... at least in Secondary.  


]]><![CDATA[Progress]]>Tue, 17 Sep 2013 00:08:46 GMThttps://lynnbugssanctuary.weebly.com/clan-journal/progressSo last week Nature Flight won Dominance!  If it hadn't been for that I would have expanded the lair again... but instead I spent the 250K Treasure I had saved up on a few things from the Marketplace!  And another impulse buy of a Ridgeback breeding pair.  I couldn't resist his colors or genes... so I bought him... then I had to find him a mate...

Anyway... Im broke again.  But a new opportunity has presented itself!  Graphics!  A few people have noticed my Siggy Banner and asked for me to make them one.  Then one of them pointed me to a larger request for some Breeding Composite shots, these show the breeding pair together with a nest and their color predict chart... in a pleasing nice looking layout.  Ive done 2 of these so far and as the rest of their dragons reach breeding age I will do more.  So I have added a Graphics page here so people can see some of the work I have done... and maybe hire me to do some for them!

So now its back to saving for that Lair Expansion.  That is now my priority for the next couple of weeks.  It also seems that since we won Dominance we are taking a break from trying for it again too soon...  makes sense because Im sure a LOT of Nature Flight used up precious savings last week.  So I will probably be revamping my breeding schedule and might ev

]]><![CDATA[Changes Big & Small]]>Thu, 05 Sep 2013 04:12:25 GMThttps://lynnbugssanctuary.weebly.com/clan-journal/changes-big-smallSo its been a while since I posted any updates here in my Journal.  Most of the time spent has gone to grinding the coliseum, shuffling breeding pairs, expanding my lair and trying to acquire non-starter & gened Dragons.

It has finally happened!  I got my first non-starter dragon 2 days ago.  A Spiral!  He was a good deal on the AH and on a whim I bought him... and he is double gened too!!!   Then I won a raffle and got a pretty little double gened Pearlcatcher girl.  Luckily their colors are compatible enough so they will be a breeding pair... when they both grow up.  He is one day older than her so I get to wait 18 more days before they can breed.  I think since I got her from a raffle I might donate one of their first clutch as a raffle prize... maybe to the dominance raffle or set up one of my own for newbies or something.   Must think on it... of course it depends on the size of their nest too.  I need to recover some of the cost of buying him...  Oh and did I mention that these two have the potential to produce Neon Wings!?!  Their color range can produce both Brights & Darks... and she has Shimmer so there could be ADVANCED Neon Wings from them too!!!  He qualifies as a Dark or Regular Neon Wing with his Shadow Tiger/Charcoal Eyespots/ Maize colors... She just misses being an Advance Bright herself with her Maize Tiger/Slate Shimmer/Aqua colors.  Wanna see them... ok...


Introducing Magnolia & Glenwood my newest pair of Neon Wing Breeders!  While neither of them are Advanced Neon Wings.... they have the potential to produce one!  Wish them luck! 
As for expanding my lair, its at a capacity of 45 dragons right now.  Ill have to do some big-time saving to get the next expansion... plus I really want a 4th nest too.  So that would be 300K treasure just for those to get done... I don't even have 100K right now... too much splurging lol. 

I have 2 breeding pairs of single gened starters and I have 1 breeding pair of double gened starters.  The rest are my Progens, their mates, Neon Wing breeders... and my exalt breeders!  Right now 24 dragons in my lair are permanent or semi-permanent... Exalt breeders have a tendency to come & go after a few clutches... That leaves 21 active slots to hold exalts and hatchlings.  Once my lair is at 50 I think 26 spare slots should be enough to process a decent number of exalts and hatchlings... maybe.... for a while.... :D

After the last few attempts our flight has made at Dominance I'm changing my selling policy concerning my hatchlings...   No hatchling from my lair will be sold on the AH for less than 10K ... EVER!!!   If it doesn't sell, it can stay in my lair to be leveled and exalted to the Gladekeeper.  I will not price my hatchlings for purposeful exalt prices, just to assist another flight in reaching dominance.  If I choose to sell a dragon to another flight as a show of good inter-flight relations that's another matter, but my dragons will not go on the AH for low prices.  If someone wants to spend 10K just to exalt then I'm not out anything since I don't exalt any dragon at less than Level 6 if not higher (except during my own flights exalt week...I have been known to exalt my own underage hatchlings on a last minute Saturday push) Just putting it in writing... So its known and not a surprise to anyone when I decline to lower my hatchling prices.  

So... new goals for the next month or three:

  • Expand Lair to 50
  • Buy a 4th Nest  (DONE)
  • Get more Non-Starters... hopefully Neon Wing stock
  • Get more Neon Wing stock... hopefully with Advanced Genes... ie: Shimmer
  • Get some Breed Change Scrolls for my Progens & their Mates! 
  • Get some Gene Scrolls for my Progens & their Mates!
  • Do something about Delilah... Scatterscroll?  New Mate?  Both?

]]><![CDATA[The Sanctuary is Open!]]>Thu, 08 Aug 2013 00:30:30 GMThttps://lynnbugssanctuary.weebly.com/clan-journal/the-sanctuary-is-openOr it would be if the FR site were running, but it is down for maintenance after an attack on the Gem transactions last Saturday evening.  The repair was taking so much time that they decided to keep the site down thru the planned Server Migration happening on the 10th & 11th of this month.  Hopefully it will all be good and back up & running by Monday. 

So what have I been doing while the site has been down?   This!  I saw a few other people had created webpages for their lairs and thought it was a great idea!   So here I am.  Hopefully it doesn't look like a 5th grader did it.  Pretty sure a 5th grader could do better.  I like the results though and that's all that matters right?  I have a set place to advertise my sales, keep track of planned breeding and any other stuff I might want to arrange with my Dragons.

Of course Comments & Friendly Suggestions are very welcome.
